so let's make a start . . .

 So here we are. That's it, the first sentance of this, my blog. I opened this blogging account a long while ago, but am only now plucking up the courage to actually post anything. Long have I been a frequenter and occasional commenter on many various blogs that are out there, however my own plans have never quite happened. All that will change now though. As with YouTube I've been slow on the uptake, but now is catch up time. Watch this space.

  So what am I in to, what brought me here? Well as you can see in the picture that's me outside a Games Workshop store, the one in York to be precise. That's my main interest, wargaming. Or more specifically these days miniature modelling. I have a large, largely unpainted, collection of minis from various manufacturers, I've played several tabletop games, including but not exclusive to Warhammer, Lotr SBG, Warmachine, Legend of the high Seas, Mordheim, Heroclix and Star Wars X-wing. I've also played a lot of D&D, in fact it was the first real "war" game I ever played. I also play Video Games, read a lot of books and watch a lot of films.
  So with all that in mind what am I going to do, or what am hoping from this blog? I'm hoping to impart my love of all the above things and more onto you the reader. I'm hoping to get myself into the habit of producing continuous content. I'm hoping to be encouraged to paint all of the backlog of minis that are sat round my neck saying "paint me . . . paint me" to my guilty purchasing side. And more importantly i'm hoping to have fun.
